Okay, I tried a couple of things but still no joy. I removed the usb drivers and let windows find them but that didn't fix the problem. I tried to find drivers for it but it couldn't find any, so I removed it, installed the mass storage drivers update and rebooted. Unfortunately, I don't think the MSD update was installed properly because when I rebooted the system found the PCI Network Controller, tried to find drivers for it and failed then loaded my desktop.
When I tried the USB Sandisk flash drive it connected without any errors but it says the device it not ready when I click on the drive location. It also says I need to install sandisk drivers for it.
