I love this little adventure but our group is very visual particularly when playing remotely via a VTT so I was a little disappointed that the adventure contains no maps, so I went looking. I mean it has three floors and a cellar just like in the adventure, and there is even a gardener's shed outside the mansion which ties in with one of the NPCs. The cellar has a secret section that is tailor made for the BBEG of the adventure so it is a perfect map companion to this adventure.

What a time saver! For clarity: This adventure plays against the backdrop of the jungle. The meat of it is the town and mansion, and what happens in there. This is not a jungle-exploratory type of adventure.

I bought this a while back and am just now running it. After a night of brawling in the ring at the Bucket's Bottom, the PC's decided to explore those mines So I drew a map of the mines on the fly and added a part to the story where a servant of the Alhoon dumps fresh victims off in the mines after their heads have been tinkered with.

They battled rust monsters in a closed off mine tunnel and in another section of the mines found a dwarven minor named Gerran who was pretty out of it and had stitches on his fresh head wounds. They sent him home safely. For clarity: This adventure plays against the backdrop of the jungle. The meat of it is the town and mansion, and what happens in there.

They battled rust monsters in a closed off mine tunnel and in another section of the mines found a dwarven minor named Gerran who was pretty out of it and had stitches on his fresh head wounds. They sent him home safely. There was a complex illusion covering the door to the secret tunnel that led from the mines back into the manor which was how Gerran was delivered back into the mine but he didn't remember anything useful.

They walked around with detect magic on and spotted the illusion and are now back on track to the module. Joseph S. Ran this as an outpost in ToA, had a lot of fun riffing off of it, and it made for a very entertaining session between story beats. The fight in the study was fun too, [ See All Ratings and Reviews.
